Mana is an oil-like substance of dark, black colours.
The origins of mana are not precisely known. Its magical properties are attributed to the ancient magical creatures that used to live in the deserts. Along with time, these creatures haven’t been seen in thousands of years. It’s generally believed that has been formed by their decaying organic matter underneath sedimentary rocks for larger portion of history than is documented.
This makes mana a finite resource that many wars have been fought over. Whoever has access to this resource and has enough experience in alchemy and sorcery can access its magical properties.
